About the event
Integrated Creative students will build a multi media project throughout the duration of this 30 week course. Participants will take a single idea and build fashion, film and computer game projects based on the theme.
Rāngai are working on projects across our "Māori Verse", an integrated world where rangatahi māori can inheret supernatural powers, if they whakapapa to Atua and their tikunga māori is strong. Students will use this as the basis of their storytelling and create a standalone project in the Māori Verse.
Creating an integrated project requires continuity, identity and purpose. To achieve this students will develop a short script with distictive characters . We will use Film and Game Design as the output formats, anchored by costume and set design to create a visual identity.
This is an ideal feeder course for EIT Fashon and Rāngais Film and Game Development pathways.
The program is established under trades academy and enrolments are made via EIT - Tairawhiti. Participation is every friday for 30 weeks, excluding school holidays, and students will gain the following 24 credits.
