Holiday Program - NZIFF Film Making Experience

Rāngai are holding a pitch evening on the 8th of march for directors, writers and story tellers to present a short film concept. The chosen concept will be developed over the following weeks to prepare for a production window beginning 8th of April and ending on the NZIFF submission date of April 19th.

Participants will need to indicate availibility for the duration of the production window, with school holidays beginning in the second week of filming. 

How will you be involved:

•  If you are availible for the shoot duration (12 days) - You will be in the main cast or crew and contribute to capturing the majority of scenes. We will ensure a speaking role for those interested in performance or have you assist in production role. Editing will begin in parallel with the filming calendar to meet deadline, as will sound design.

• Availible 15th - 19th (School holidays) - You will participate as an extra in scenes, and an assistant in film pickups, establishing shots and sound design.

 As this holiday program is designed to create a single project, we cannot garuntee participants will have an opportunity in a particular role. We will be establishing each persons contribution on the 8th and intend the project to be fun and collaborative for all.
